Delhi in grip of cold wave

<p>
Delhi is in the grip of a cold wave as the minimum temperature plunged to 3.8 degrees Celsius on Friday morning, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).</p>
<p>
The maximum temperature is likely to settle at around 19 degrees Celsius and there will be shallow fog, it said.</p>
<p>
This is the second day in a row when mercury has plunged to sub 4 degrees as on Thursday, too, the minimum temperature had dropped sharply to 3.4 degrees Celsius from 8.4 degrees on Wednesday.</p>
<p>
The cold wave conditions are likely to persist for the next few days, according to the IMD forecast.</p>
<p>
Delhi had also experienced cold wave conditions on December 20 when the minimum temperature had fallen 3.2 degrees Celsius and December 21 4 degrees Celsius.</p>
