A 30-year-old man rammed his Maruti Brezza car into three children as he lost control of the speeding vehicle and crashed into the sidewalk near Lilawati school in Delhi’s Gulabi Bagh colony. The children were standing on the sidewalk.
A CCTV video clip of the incident showed the car suddenly crashing into the footpath, hitting the children, and coming to an abrupt halt. The locals rushed to help the children, while some of them caught the driver and can be seen beating him up.

Gajendar, a resident of Pratap Nagar, has been taken into police custody after locals caught and thrashed him following the accident, which happened at 9 am today.
One of the eyewitnesses, seen in the CCTV video rushing to help the victims, said that someone was learning how to drive, and the car had made three rounds of the area.
The car was smashed by the angry crowd and has been seized by police.
