Caught on Camera: Railway ticket checkers brutally thrash traveller on train

A video that has gone viral shows two train ticket collectors brutally thrashing a passenger on board the Mumbai-Jainagar Express.

One of the ticket collectors flew into a fit of rage after an argument with the passenger who was reportedly travelling without a ticket. The ticket examiner then drags down the passenger from the top berth as his colleague joins him in raining blows on the hapless traveller.

The young travellers is pinned to the floor of the coach and the duo can be seen kicking him in the face with their boots.

The other passengers are reported to have intervened to stop the assault and are heard telling the ticket collectors they should not have assaulted the man.

The incident reportedly took place on the night of January 2 in Bihar’s Muzaffarnagar district.

An Indian Railways spokesperson said the two ticket examiners and strict action will be taken against them for taking the law into their own hands.
