Three armed robbers stole a Toyota Fortuner SUV from a 35-year-old man at gunpoint in Delhi’s Cantonment area, police said on Sunday.
Video footage of the incident shows the owner of the white Fortuner car parking his vehicle on the side of the road near an ATM. When the SUV owner comes out of the vehicle, a man in a red jacket confronts him with a pistol and after taking the ignition keys of the Fortuner tells him to move away from the SUV.
Two of his accomplices also move into the car and the three drive away with the Fortuner.
The complainant, Rahul who is a resident of Meerut district in UP, informed the police that three unknown persons came on a motorcycle and robbed his white Toyota Fortuner car at gunpoint at around 5 am on Saturday, a senior police officer said.
Police have registered a case under section 397 (robbery, or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and an investigation was on, the officer said.
