A 15-year-old girl was shot in the neck in Patna by a jilted lover and the horrifying incident has been captured on CCTV. The incident occurred in Indrapuri area of Sipara at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday when she was returning from coaching classes, police said.

The CCTV footage shows a young man stalking the girl. He then pulls out a gun from his bag and shoots the girl. She falls to the ground and then culprit is seen running away from the spot.
Preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was the fallout of a love affair gone sour, according to the police. However, the actual reason would be confirmed only after recording the victim's statement, police said.
The girl, a Class 9 student, is currently in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The accused has been identified and is expected to be arrested. soon
