Caught on camera: Drunk railway ticket checker misbehaves with lady at Bengaluru station

A heated altercation between a ticket checker and a young lady passenger at Bengaluru’s KR Puram Railway station has gone viral on social media. The video shows the official shouting at the visibly upset woman passenger who has come to board a long distance train on the platform. He is rudely asking her to show her ticket as she looks for it on her mobile phone.

“Why are you bullying me? I have booked a ticket which is why I am here,” the upset woman told the railway employee standing in front of her.

“Show and go, bloody. This is my job,” he shouts back at her.

Other passengers come to the support of the woman as she is seen crying due to the bullying by the ticket examiner.

“This girl is traveling alone, and he’s bullying her. I don’t even know her but I can see that the guy is dissing her,” a male passenger standing near the woman tells the others on the platform.

The woman insists that she booked her ticket and had shown it to another ticket collector, but the railway staffer, who is allegedly drunk, shuts her down and attempts to walk away. Bystanders then intervene and pull him back. One of them says the police should be called.

The ticket examiner has since been suspended by South Western Railways.
