Brave woman in Rajasthan responded with amazing courage to save her husband from the jaws of a ferocious crocodile in the Chambal river on Tuesday.
Her husband, Banne Singh, is a cattle herder and had taken his flock of goats to the river for a drink when he also decided to take a dip in the water as it was a hot day.
However, a crocodile suddenly leapt out of the water from behind and grabbed him by the leg. His wife Vimal Bai rose to the occasion and started hitting the crocodile with a stick which forced the beast to let go of the leg.
However, the crocodile did not give up and came back again to drag the man into deep water. Vimal Bai then hit the beast in the eye which forced him to retreat and the couple managed to escape from the jaws of death.
Singh sustained serious injuries on his leg and has been admitted to hospital. However, doctors said he is out of danger and would make a full recovery from the wound.
