Bangladeshi journalist and author Syed Badrul Ahsan is in Delhi to hold discussions and address foreign policy experts and media persons on Indo-Bangla relations and the happenings in South Asia.
Ahsan was in Kolkata where he held a discussion with former minister and well-known author MJ Akbar on topics related to India’s Partition, the Bangladesh liberation war and fraught relationships in the Indian subcontinent.
In his interaction with the people in Kolkata and at the historic Aliah University, the well-known Bangladeshi journalist highlighted how relations between India and his country have progressed under the governments of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina. He also emphasised that under the leadership of Hasina, Bangladesh has maintained a smart foreign policy by which the government has maintained strategic relations with the global powers like US, Russia and China.

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA): Ahsan will hold discussions with experts and journalists on January 19. Strategic affairs analyst Nitin Gokhle will conduct an exclusive interview with Ahsan after the ICWA event.
Vivekananda International Foundation: Ahsan will participate in a round-table conference On January 20.
Jamia Millia Islamia University: The Mass Communication department of the university is hosting an interactive session with students and journalists on January 21. Editor of India Narrative Atul Aneja will moderate the session.
Ahsan’s events in Kolkata had a large participation with a cross section of the society – students, journalists, intellectuals and experts, participating in the discussions. Based in Dhaka, Ahsan is a noted commentator on South Asian affairs and the author of many acclaimed books.
