Akhand Bharat Parishad (ABP) paid homage to Mahatama Gandhi on his 151st birth anniversary at Mokokchung, Nagaland.
To mark the occasion, the ABP distributed homeopathic medicine and facemasks in Mokochung, Wokha, Zunhebeto and Longleng district, said an ABP press release.
Naresh Ram, ABP president, remembered the Gandhian ideology of non-violence and emphasized on self-governance. He appreciated the Nagaland government's efforts for making village councils more powerful.
He also launched a campaign against drug abuse and illegal liquor mafia in the state, and requested all the authorities concerned and young people to join the initiative.
