A special silver swing weighing 21 kilograms has been installed for Lord Ram in the Ram Janmbhoomi complex at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh to celebrate Shravan Jhula Utsav.</p>

&quot;In Ayodhya, there is a tradition of Shravan Jhula Utsav. From Shravan Shukla Tritiya till Purnima, Bhagwan Shri Ram gives darshans on a jhula. Now, this 21 kg Silver Jhula has been put in the seva of Bhagwan,&quot; tweeted the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.</p>

This monsoon fair is held from the third day of the second half of Shravan. Idols from the temples are taken out in a grand procession and placed on swings.</p>

Meanwhile, because of the Covid-19 pandemic the Ayodhya administration has ordered a partial closure of all temples and barred bathing at the Saryu ghats ahead of the monsoon fair. The borders of the temple town have also been closed. The devotees, who have come the holy city for the &#39;Sawan Jhula Mela&#39;, are also being asked to leave.</p>
