As December 16 – the 50th anniversary of India's famous victory over Pakistan which was critical in the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 – inches closer, several events are being organised across the country to honour the bravehearts and their families.
The 13-day military conflict in December 1971 witnessed the Indian Armed Forces achieving a stellar victory over Pakistan and liberation of Bangladesh.
The 50th anniversary of India's greatest military triumph against Pakistan is being celebrated as the Swarnim Vijay Varsh and several events have been organised since December 2020 as a part of the Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is conducting 'Azadi ki Vijay Shrankhla aur Sanskritiyon ka Mahasangam' event at 75 locations throughout India wherein the war veterans and their families are being felicitated.
The second part of the event will be held in Delhi wherein candidates from all over the country will participate in a cultural exchange. The finale will be conducted at the NCC Camp Auditorium where the cadets of India's border and coastal areas will showcase the local dances of their respective states and will sing an integration in 22 languages.
The event will also showcase cultural diversity of India, especially from border and coastal areas where NCC has been introduced recently to strengthen the 'Unity in Diversity' aspect.
