Jointly organised by state’s health department and Indian Army, the camp received an overwhelming response of the tribals, who till the commissioning Rohtang Tunnel, the World’s highest traffic tunnel at 10,000 feet in October 2020, used to spend six to seven months, totally cut off from the world due to 10 to 11 feet of snowfall.

Before the Rohtang Tunnel, there was hardly any medical facility for emergencies for all ailing persons –aged or pregnant women. They used to be airlifted to Kullu or Shimla to save their lives.
