Shah Rukh Khan became the latest Bollywood star to test positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. Katrina Kaif had also tested positive for coronavirus  recently.

She had to cancel her trip to the IIFA 2022 ceremony where her husband Vicky Kaushal received the best actor award.

COVID-19 cases have been surging in Mumbai. Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan had also tested positive on Saturday, a week after Akshay Kumar who cancelled his visit to the India Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival due to the infection.

Mumbai reported 961 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday which constitutes 60% of the 1,400 Covid-19 cases reported in Maharashtra.
