<p>
India&rsquo;s total COVID-19 vaccination coverage has shot past the 35 crore mark with more than 57.36 lakh doses being administered on Saturday, according to data compiled by the Health Ministry.</p>

There has been a sharp increase in the daily number of vaccinations being carried out after the launch of the free vaccines for all scheme on June 21.&nbsp; As many as 28,33,691 vaccine doses were administered as first dose and 3,29,889 vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18-44 years on Saturday.</p>
<p>
A total of 9.94 crore persons in the age group 18-44 years across 37 States/UTs have received their first dose while over 27 lakh have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the accelerated vaccination drive.</p>
<p>
Eight States namely Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra have administered more than 50 lakh first dose of COVID- 9 Vaccine in the age group 18-44 years. Also, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have vaccinated more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine, the Health Ministry figures show.</p>

<strong>Covid-19 cases fall to 97-day low</strong></p>
<p>
Meanwhile the decline India&rsquo;s active caseload of COVID-19 cases continues with the total coming down to a 97-day low of 4,95,533 cases.</p>
<p>
As many as 57,477 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 51st consecutive day.</p>
<p>
The weekly positivity rate is estimated at 2.5% while the daily positivity rate has fallen to 2.35%. Both figures have been below the WHO&rsquo;s danger mark of 5% for 26 days in a row.</p>
