India continues to report a trend of steadily declining active cases as a percentage of the total positive cases.
The active cases of corona are 15.11 per cent of the total positive cases of the country, the total number of active cases are 9,40,441, said the Health Ministry.

“From 33.32 % on 1st August to 15.11% on 30th September, the active cases have less than halved in two months,” an official press release issued by the health ministry said.

“The total recovered cases stand at 5,187,825. The gap between recovered cases and active cases has crossed 4,247,384. With an increasing number of recoveries, this gap is continuously widening,” the Ministry said.

On Tuesday, India recorded the lowest number of coronavirus in the month of September.
In last 24 hours, 80,472 new confirmed cases and 1,179 deaths were recorded.
India’s recovery rate has touched 83.33 per cent today. 86,428 have recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours.

76 per cent of the active cases constitute majorly from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Assam, Chhattisgarh and Telangana, the Ministry further added.
“Maharashtra contributes maximum with more than 2,60,000 active cases. 14 states and Union Territories have less than 5,000 active cases,” the release said..
