India’s daily count of fresh Covid-19 cases fell to a 7-day low of 2,288 during the last 24 hours, according to Health Ministry data released on Tuesday.

It is after nearly a week that the number of new coronavirus cases have fallen below the 3,000 mark.

The total number of active cases in the country now stands at 19,637 with the daily positivity rate at 0.47 per cent.

As many as 10 deaths due to coronavirus were also reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 4,84,843 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has now surpassed the 190.5 crore mark till 7 am today
