India reports highest single-day corona recoveries
In the past 24 hours, India has reported the highest number of single-day corona recoveries, said the Health Ministry today.
As many as 82,961 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from home/facility isolation and hospitals, steeply pushing the recovery rate to 78.53 per cent, an official press release said.
The total number of recovered cases is 3,942,360.

According to the Ministry, 59 per cent of the recoveries come from five states—Maharashtra (19,423), Andhra Pradesh (9,628), Karnataka (7,406), Uttar Pradesh (6,680) and Tamil Nadu (5,735).

The gap between the recovered and active cases has crossed 29 lakh. The recovered cases are nearly four times the number of active cases.

India has reported 90,123 cases and 1,290 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Maharashtra has reported more than 20,000 cases in past 24 hours, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
