Gyms, restaurants, bars open, 50 guests allowed at marriages as Delhi unlocks

The Delhi government further eased restrictions put in place to fight COVID-19&nbsp; as part of the gradual unlocking of the national capital with the daily count of fresh coronavirus cases coming down to 85 on Saturday, the lowest level since May last year.</p>
<p>
The positivity rate in capital has fallen to an all-time low of 0.12 per cent. The city currently has 1,598 active COVID-19 patients, the fewest since March 3 while 9 deaths were reported due to disease during the day.</p>
<p>
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority(DDMA) issued fresh guidelines for phase 5 of the unlocking of Delhi which will come into effect from Monday.</p>
<p>
Gymnasiums and yoga institutes are now allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity in the national capital while marriage halls, banquet halls and hotels have been allowed to hold wedding ceremonies with a maximum of 50 guests.</p>
<p>
However, the maximum number of people allowed to attend marriage ceremonies held at home or in the court has been limited to 20.</p>

The new DDMA order also states that owners of marriage halls, banquet halls, and hotels along with gym and yoga institute owners must ensure that Covid-19 protocols are followed at their premises.</p>
<p>
It also stated that the restrictions that have not been lifted on activities in the city, such as visits to religious places, will continue till 5 am on July 5.</p>

<strong>WHAT IS ALLOWED</strong></p>

<strong>*</strong>Bars in the city permitted to open with 50% seating capacity from noon to 10 pm.</p>
<p>
*Restaurants allowed to open with 50% seating capacity from 8 am to 10 pm.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
<p>
*Public parks, gardens and golf clubs will be reopened.</p>
<p>
*Markets, malls and shops are allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>
*Funerals and last rites related gatherings are allowed with maximum attendance of 20 persons.</p>
<p>
*Religious places have been allowed to open, but no visitors are permitted.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
<p>
*Government and private offices will continue to function with 50% staff.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>
*Delhi Metro trains and public transport buses will continue to run at 50% capacity.</p>
