WhatsApp soft-launches new business search feature for users

<strong>Messaging platform Whatsapp is planning to roll out a new feature that will help users in finding information about businesses nearby. It will be a kind of business directory giving information about new business accounts.</strong></p>
<p>
The feature is currently being developed, WABetaInfo, an independent channel of WhatsApp news, said adding the messaging platform is working on new features to offer to customers.</p>

The feature has been released for some people in São Paulo and it will be rolled out to more people in the future, WABetaInfo said.</p>
<p>
Mark Zuckerberg promoted Facebook which has now rechristened Meta bought over WhatsApp in February 2014 for an estimated total of $16 billion — $4 billion in cash and about $12 billion in Facebook shares.</p>
<p>
According to Screen Rant, an online news website, “In all, it made for a major transaction that saw one of the world's most popular social media platforms take control of one of the world's most utilized communication services.” </p>
