Ola Electric claims Rs 1100 crore scooter sales in two days

Ola Electric claims it has sold electric scooters worth Rs 1100 crore during the two days that the online purchase window was open.</p>
<p>
The company began online sales for its two electric scooter variants – S1, and S1 Pro on September 15 until September 16, 2021. Customers who had already reserved the Ola scooter, when the company opened online reservations in July 2021, were given priority.</p>

In the official statement released by the company, Ola Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said, "In total over 2 days, we have done over Rs 1100 crores in sales! This is unprecedented not just in the automotive industry, but it is one of the highest sales in a day (by value) for a single product in Indian e-commerce history! We truly are living in a digital India."</p>
<p>
On the first day of the online sale, the company had closed the day by selling electric scooters worth over Rs 600 crore. When the purchase window was open, customers could book the scooter online for a minimum booking amount of Rs 20,000.</p>
