Many expats who left India amid Covid wave are now keen to return

As the Covid 19 infection rate eases in India, many expatriates who had returned home, are now eager to come back notwithstanding a possibility of a third wave.

Sources said that about 60 per cent of the expats who were living in India had left for their home countries in the wake of the second wave that hit India in May and June.

However, limited flights operating on the international routes are gradually being opened up.

Ahuja pointed out that Covid 19 cases have also increased in a few East Asian countries including Japan.
