<strong>The Delhi Metro Pink Line section between Najafgarh and Dhansa Bus Stand, which has been supported by Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan, was opened for public today.</strong></p>
<p>
The Phase 3 project directly serves the town centre of Najafgarh, South-West Delhi and enhances the public transport network there.<br />
<br />
The inauguration of this section also marks the completion of all projects of Delhi Metro Phase 3 which have been supported by Japanese ODA Loan.<br />
<br />
Oriental Consultants Global as the project management consultant; Nippon Steel as the manufacturer of iron rails; Mitsui as the supplier of iron rails; Nippon Signal as the supplier of signalling systems; Mitsubishi Electric as the supplier of the propulsion system for the rolling stocks are the Japanese companies which have played a major role in the newly-inaugurated sections of Delhi Metro.<br />

&quot;I would like to affirm that Japan is always willing to support the efforts of Delhi Metro.Japan&#39;s continuous involvement in the Delhi Metro Project is testimony to the firm cooperation and&nbsp;friendly relationship existing between Japan and India,&quot; said Satoshi Suzuki, the Ambassador of Japan to India.<br />
<br />
Japan has also decided to support Delhi Metro Phase 4 and already exchanged notes for the provision of ODA loan amounting to approximately 120 billion Japanese Yen, or approximately 8,157 crore Indian Rupees, in March 2021.<br />

&quot;In 2022, we will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of India&#39;s independence, as well as the 20th Anniversary of the inauguration of Delhi Metro. Coincidentally, the year 2022 is also the 70th Anniversary of Japan-India Diplomatic Relations. So, today&rsquo;s ceremony is a great preview of this bright year to come,&quot; said the Japanese Ambassador.</p>
