The Government today lifted the ban on international flights which had been imposed for the last two years to check the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.</p>

The Civil Aviation Ministry said commercial international flights will resume from March 27.</p>

&quot;After having recognized the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022,&quot; a statement issued by the Civil Aviation Ministry Tuesday said.</p>

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation or (DGCA), had banned regular&nbsp; international flights from March 2020 in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19&nbsp; and only a limited number of flights were operating to countries with which India had bilateral agreements as part of a common &ldquo;air bubble&rdquo; arrangement.</p>
