Drunk passenger forces Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight to make emergency landing in Mumbai.

Rowdy behaviour by a heavily drunk passenger on board a Doha-Bengaluru flight forced the pilots of the IndiGo aircraft to make an emergency landing in Mumbai on Saturday.

The passenger, Mohammed Sarfuddin Ulwar, was arrested by the local police as soon as the plane landed at Mumbai.

Ulwar, who hails from Kerala, had consumed alcohol and misbehaved with an air hostess and other passengers during the flight. He also indulged in unruly behaviour, using foul language on board the plane.

The incident took place late Saturday night when an IndiGo flight was en route to Bengaluru from Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

After he ignored all warnings made by the pilot, a decision was taken to go in for an emergency landing.
