The recent study was carried out in 204 districts across India between 10-15 November, a total of 14,000 people were questioned.

The study also revealed that the Indians preferred value purchase. About 66 per cent of the respondents said that they prefer Chinese products because the products offer higher value for money, 13 per cent said it was the “uniqueness” of the products and 25 per cent said they were unsure.

“Indian consumers continue to prefer low-cost products that offer value for money and that is where Made in China products enter the Indian retail markets as a perfect match.
