India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Rayalaseema on 18th & 19th June and Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 18th June.
In the weather bulletin issued today, IMD has also forecast:
*Fairly widespread rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning in South India during the next 5 days.
*Heat Wave/Severe heat wave conditions are very likely to continue in some parts of Telangana during the next 3 days and Andhra Pradesh for next 2 days.
*Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some more parts of south Peninsular, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during 2-3 days.
*The Depression (Remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘Biparjoy’) over central parts of South Rajasthan & neighbourhood moved northeastwards with a speed of 13 kmph during the past 6 hours.
*Heavy Rainfall Warning for Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on 18th June.
*Wind warning: Squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely till evening of 18th June over South Rajasthan and adjoining areas of North Gujarat.
*Extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya during 18th -20th June.
