Venice known world over for its waterways and canals has gone dry making it impossible for boats to sail in them

Usually from October to January the metropolis faces flooding. Yet due to a variety of reasons the canals have become dry. Lack of rainfall is partially to blame as there were weeks of dry winter while the sea currents and full moon also played a part.
Besides the traditional gondolas and water taxis, the city’s vital water ambulances are also struggling.
