A video shared by Indian Forest Service officer and wildlife enthusiast Susanta Nanda shows a young lady leading an elephant by luring it with a bunch of bananas.
She does not give the bananas to the elephant and moves backwards while teasing the giant tusker. She expects the elephant to follow it timidly, but the beast decides to take command of the situation and charges at the lady. She is taken unawares and screams with fright as the elephant lifts her off the ground.
“You can’t fool an elephant even though he is tamed. They are one of the most intelligent animals to be in captivity,” Nanda noted. Since being shared on Thursday, the clip has amassed more than 64,000 views on Twitter.
