National Zoological Park in Delhi has a special attraction for visitors. They will now be able to see two white tiger cubs born in August last year at the premises after a gap of 7 years.

A viral video shows the two eight-month-old cubs named Avani and Vyom being released for public viewing by Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav today.
As per Akanksha Mahajan, Director of NZP the zoo will remain closed on Friday and this will enable the cubs to get used to their new space. During the weekend when the footfall is maximum at the zoo, Vijay, father of the two cubs will be released in the arena for viewing while the cubs are back in the enclosure on Monday.
Depending on how they react to the people, it will be decided if they can be shown to visitors during the weekend.
The authorities have taken precautions to ensure that there are no sharp objects in the enclosure that hurt the cubs and that their water is clean without any algae.
Of the three white cubs born on August 24 one died in December.
There are now nine tigers in NZP with five of them being white, including the two cubs.
