Watch: Tortoise narrowly escapes death from jaws of deadly crocodile

Those who have heard of the expression “biting off more than you can chew” can see it literally happening in a video that is doing rounds on Twitter. A huge crocodile takes a tortoise in its mouth and tries to crush in its powerful jaws but is unable to do so.

Video:

The tough-shelled does form a part of crocodile’s diet but at times the latter fails as seen in this footage despite having a bite force of 3,700 pounds per square inch. Having escaped the jaws of death, the tortoise manages to make a getaway.
