Yadav, currently the world’s best T20I batter, received his Test cap from former coach Ravi Shastri who is doing the commentary duties in the series.
Also making his Test debut is wicket-keeper KS Bharat who got a nod ahead of Ishan Kishan. Bharat received his Test cap from Cheteshwar Pujara.
Australia have elected to bat against India in the first Test in Nagpur in what promises to be a cracking Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
