Watch: Safari guide with nerves of steel tackles charging elephant

The video shows a gigantic elephant suddenly change course and charge towards a safari guide who is escorting a tourist.  The man with nerves of steel stays calm and just raises his hand while firmly holding his ground. The elephant comes to an abrupt halt and then moves backwards before it saunters away in the forest.

The elephant is the largest land animal and even tigers and lions normally don’t cross its path. It appears the huge beast was taken by surprise by the safari guide refusing to budge as this is probably not the reaction it was expecting. Interestingly, the man also had a gun in his other hand but makes no attempt to use it in any way.
