Epitomising service before self, nurses in Turkey – which was struck by a deadly earthquake recently killing thousands of people — have saved lives of several patients and people, including newly born babies, without caring for their safety. Videos posted by Dr. Fahrettin Koca, the Turkish Health Minister on Twitter, showing these acts have gone viral.
In a neonatal unit in southern Turkey, nurses rushed to save babies in their incubators by holding onto them to prevent them from sliding or turning over.
