Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra met and bowed down to young India stars who put up a terrific display in the final against England to emerge as the first-ever winners at the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in South Africa on Sunday.
Chopra watched the summit clash from the stands in Potchefstroom as the women in blue scripted history.
A video posted by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday showed the star javelin thrower walking to the middle and bowing to the Indian players as they celebrated the triumph.

Victorious Indian skipper Shafali Verma, already an established star in India’s senior side, is now eyeing off a historic double by winning the next month’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup which will also be held in South Africa.
