WATCH: Mother elephant teaching her baby how to cross road in forest

IAS officer Supriya Sahu, currently posted as the head of Environment and Forests Department of Tamil Nadu, has shared a video of a mother elephant carefully guiding her baby across a motor road that runs through the forest.

“Mother elephant seems to be teaching her baby how to cross the road. A sad reality,” the IAS officer has commented.

With increasing development, more highways are traversing through forests and disturbing the natural habit of animals.  The video also shows a car coming down the road which stops to let the elephant and her baby walk across.
