Having lost a dear one, due to an accident, Khushi, a young woman living in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Luckow does not want others to suffer the same plight. Her video on Twitter showing her distributing red lights to bicycle riders has gone viral.
Video:
Kushi’s grandfather lost his life while riding a cycle in 2020 as the car driver was unable to see him. From then on, she started this free distribution of red signals. These are attached in the front and back, making their presence known to others.
She has now made it her life mission to raise awareness about installing these useful red lights on cycles. Till now she has distributed 1,500 red lights.
The video posted by Awanish Sharan, an Indian Administrative Officer shows her holding a placard which urges cyclists as it reads: “Cycle pe light lagawao (Install lights on cycles).”
Viewers appreciated her effort and said it was an example of real social activism.
