Constant honking and chaos on traffic especially in cities is now accepted by everyone yet Aizawl the capital of Mizoram sets a sterling example of good road sense and etiquette. A video of this disciplined traffic has been posted on Instagram by travel blogger Elizabeth.
Video:
The footage depicts the aerial view of the city’s traffic and shows cars parked on one side of the road simply following the other vehicle. There is no overtaking, rushing or honking at all.
Likewise, in the other lane one can see two-wheelers moving quietly and all the riders are wearing helmets.
Interestingly, these lanes are not separated with any marking or blocks and the commuters are seen maintaining lane traffic on their own.
Viewers have commended the Aizawl residents for this seamless vehicle movement and hoped that people of other cities and regions will be inspired to follow them.
