Watch: India score superb goal vs Lebanon on way to victory in Intercontinental Cup

India won the Intercontinental Cup with a 2-0 victory over Lebanon in the football final at Bhubaneshwar on Sunday. The video shows the first goal being scored by the Indian forwards, five minutes into the second half, in an incredible show of dribbling skills and precise passing.

The extraordinary move was initiated with Lallianzuala Chhangte sending the ball to Nikhil Poojary near the touchline. Poojary then took the Lebanon players by surprise with an incredible backheel pass, back to Chhangte who weaved past the remaining defenders and passed the ball low to Sunil Chettri who drove home neatly to beat the goalkeeper.

Lallianzuala Chhangte then struck again in the 65th minute to increase take the victory margin to 2-0.

This is India’s second title triumph in the tournament, following their win in the inaugural edition in 2018. Korea had won in 2019.
