Watch: Hotel being washed away in Himachal flood

Himachal Pradesh has been the worst-hit by the monsoon fury striking the northern states.  The video shows a hotel in Manali Allu being washed away in the flash floods triggered by incessant rains.

The state government has issued a warning to tourists not to visit the hill state and asked local residents to stay at home as highways and bridges have been washed away.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has attributed the spell of unprecedented torrential rain to an interaction between a western disturbance moving in from the Arabian Sea and monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal which together have had the impact of a double whammy.
