The incident happened in AP’s Konaseema district where everything has gone pell-mell due to heavy rain and the subsequent flooding. Unable to reach the groom’s house by road, the bride and her family used boats to reach the groom’s house and complete the rituals.

The couple – Ashok and Prashanti — had advanced their wedding to avoid the monsoon but that did not materialise as coastal AP is witnessing one of the worst floods in recent years.
