The video has been shot by one of the passengers on the bus and shows the windshield of the vehicle cracking as the huge elephant makes contact with the bus.

According to local media, the encounter took place at around 4pm when the bus was on its way to Munnar. As the bus takes a turn on the road it encounters a wild that is standing in front.

The driver stays calm even after the elephant has broken the windshield to avoid provoking the animal. This helps as the elephant then walks away and the bus resumes its journey.

Many Twitter users, including IAS officer and wild life enthusiast Supriya Sahu, have shared the video of the incident, which took place on Tuesday.
