At least 15 people, including three forest officials, women and children were injured as a leopard went on the rampage at the Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI) in Assam’s Jorhat.
In a video captured by forest officials, the big cat is seen moving around the campus. Another video shows the leopard jumping over a barbed wire fence and attacking a four-wheeler.

The injured people have been admitted to hospital and are reported to be stable.
The RFRI is located on the outskirts of Jorhat amid forests from where the leopard strayed into the campus.
Forest officials armed with tranquiliser guns, were trying to capture the leopard. Residents in the area have been advised to remain indoors.
