Maternal instinct in all living beings is so strong that it can make a timid prey take on a powerful predator. A viral video on Twitter shows this as a mother rat takes on a snake to rescue her baby back.

The snake carries off the baby but after relentless pursuit by the mother who keeps biting its tail, the reptile is forced to abandon the baby. The place is not mentioned in the Twitter post with this video, its caption reads: “Rodent fights snake to get baby back”.
India Narrative checked the Internet and found that it is an old video posted on Facebook by Rojas Montecinos Envy in 2016.
