A Railway Protection Force officer saved a child from slipping under the track
Presence of mind and quick action on the part of a Railway Police Force officer, Akshay Soye, saved the life of a woman and her child who slipped when boarding a moving train in Mankhurd Railway station on the Mumbai Suburban Railway network.
Video:
The footage captured on the platform’s CCTV on Tuesday shows a woman carrying her child in her arms trying to board. She lost her balance and fell with the child. Soye rushed and pulled the two from getting dragged under the train and while he grabbed the child, an onlooker pulled the mother.
Railway Protection Force’s Mumbai Division posted the footage and commended the officer’s action.
