Viral Video: Andhra Pradesh Forest officials and villagers rescue elephant stuck in deep well

The Forest Department officials working in tandem with villagers of Gundla Palle in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittor district, rescued a young elephant which fell in a well full of water. The video of this rescue operation shows the officials using a JCB excavator to get the animal out.

The animal fell in the well on Monday night in search of water. On seeing its plight, the villagers turned to the Forest Department for help. After the wall of the well was broken on one side using the excavator, the creature managed to scramble out and run towards the forest.
