A traffic policeman is being hailed as a hero on social media as a video shows him sweeping stones and pebbles off the road to make it safer for motorists, especially two-wheelers which tend to skid over them. These small stones also cause tyre punctures and are often sent flying like projectiles when bigger vehicles run over them.

The video has gone viral with over 9.6 lakh views and more than 54,000 likes so far as Internet users express their appreciation for an act that goes beyond the call of duty of a traffic cop.
