Amongst the bowlers Deepak Hooda returned with four wickets as New Zealand fell short of India’s total of 191 by 65 runs.
Suryakumar’s unbeaten 111 is his second second T20I ton, with the first in the format coming earlier this year against England.
Ishan Kishan also came up with an impressive knock of 36 runs off 31 balls.
