CCTV footage shows the toll plaza workers running to clear the plastic barriers as they see the ambulance coming at high speed. While one man hurriedly removes two barricades the third barricade is being cleared by another worker when the vehicle suddenly comes crashing into the booth and crushes him.
The skidding on the wet road is a case of aquaplaning which takes place during the rains rain as a thin film of water is formed between the road surface and the tyres of the vehicle. This causes the vehicle to go out of control, especially while braking at high speed, as the tyres are not in contact with the road.
