Video of villagers chasing sloth bears to the forest

A video clip of a wild bear and cub beating a hasty retreat from a Odisha village has taken the social media by storm.</p>

The incident happened at Burja village in Umerkote block of Nabrangpur district where a mother sloth bear and her cub, looking for food, made foray into the place. The village is located close to the forest range.</p>
<p>
On sighting the bears, the dogs started barking, alerting the villagers who chased them by shouting and showing them fire, to the Muturma Forest range.</p>
<p>
No casualty or injury was reported as the bears returned to the forest.</p>
