A video clip of a wild bear and cub beating a hasty retreat from a Odisha village has taken the social media by storm.

The incident happened at Burja village in Umerkote block of Nabrangpur district where a mother sloth bear and her cub, looking for food, made foray into the place. The village is located close to the forest range.
On sighting the bears, the dogs started barking, alerting the villagers who chased them by shouting and showing them fire, to the Muturma Forest range.
No casualty or injury was reported as the bears returned to the forest.
